Morgan's Birthday

So. Yeah. Haven't been on in just about forever. Sorry. Not really. Ehh.

Today's my sister's birthday. Woot. I have no money for a present, so I'll just draw her a picture. Hope that keeps her happy (won't).

School's been sucking hard this past long while, and life's been pretty okay. Nothing really worth mentioning (not really). I mean, there are things to talk about... but I've either forgotten them, or don't feel they deserve space. Or typing time.

So. Anyway. Can't see to get a good thread of conversation going here, now can I? Hm. Yeah. Well, I'll be more regular about updates now. I swear. I lie sometimes, but this is a true swear. Scouts honor.

It's too bad I'm not a Girl Scout.

Why Are Friday So Damn Good?

Why are Fridays so damn fine?

A question that may never be answered. However, today went spectacularly.

I went to bed late last night, after finishing the pictures to decorate the back side of my agenda. I woke up, brushed my teeth, went to therapy, and then to breakfast. My friend Andy (ha, gotcha Andrew!) has been calling about a typewrite he doesn't need anymore; completely manual, bright freakin' blue, and all keys intact. The ribbons are a slight problem, but can be ordered over the Internet. After all, what can't? So Andy called again today, I answered and told him that, yes, as soon as my mom got home from Tedesschi's I'd come right over and buy the typewriter off him for $5.

Mom gets back from the store around three-ish, checks her messages and--- GASP! My dad's not picking me up at five o'clock like he said he would; he's picking me up at three! Naturally, I was bummed about lying to Andy and not being able to show up to get the typewriter, but that only lasted forty seconds as I had to pack for a weekend in five minutes.

I call dad and ask where he is, and LUCKILY he was a little behind-er than he said he'd be. So we had time to drive a town over and pick up my shiny old typewriter. ^_^

The other good thing about today is that I uploaded all meh chibis! Yay! Uploading ish fun.

Front Cover (of the Agenda):
- Red History Chibi
- Oraney Butterfly Boy
- Yellow Izenami
- Green Shinigami
- Blue Kariah
(There are others, but I didn't like the scans an deleted them. Maybe later...)

Back Cover (of the Agenda):
- Mercy
- Innocence
- Composure
- Humility
- Zeal
- Charity

If anyone noticed, the back cover of the agenda deals with the seven holy virtues, but each person illustrated by them isn't really the best choice of example for said virtue. Mercy, for example, is Saint Mercy, who thinks killing is the most merciful deed she can perform. Innocence was a prostitute (although she doesn't look it, does she? Well, she was abused), Composure is a hot-blooded homicidal vampire, and Humility thinks she's the finest thing to walk the earth. Zeal is an atheist (if it's not obvious, he's a priest... an atheist priest? I know.), and Charity gives his life for the sake of others.

Ahahahaha.... it's really, really stupid, but it makes me laugh.

New Look, New Feel

I changed around leh LJ's look and feel today... nice shades of yellow and white. I dunno why I'm so obsessed with lemons. Actually, to be honest, I'm more obsessed with butterflies, but I like lemons too. O_o

My tadpole Zakariah is losing his tail. He nearly doesn't have one at all! I'm so happy. Soon he'll be a frog ^_^

Today has begun spectacularly badly, but at the moment I'm too hopeful to care.

I missed my therapist appointment already, which I also missed last week. Dr. Lain prolly thinks I'm not coming back. When my mom gets back from her meeting, I have to force her to take me to the school so I can get a work permit so I can get a job at the local bookstore, five miles away from my house. Which I will have to ride to on my bike. My crappy, rusty, warped-tire bike. With no gears, over many hills.

I know I'm being whiny. I think I should be entitled to some whiny now and then, though limits ARE necessary. No more whiny for today!

Anyway. Yeah. And then I think I'm going over Meaghan's house to return some books to her dad, get my mom's ring and go to the Wharf Dance. Maybe sleep over, if Meaghan wants to. Dunno. ^_^

Sounds like an exciting day, no?

Stupid Families and Beaches

Today we're going to a beach. Yay--- not. >(

As you may just be able to guess, this makes me angry and terribly unhappy. Beaches mean I have to move from my computer and stop writing/drawing/thinking for a while. Beaches mean sand. Beaches mean horseflies. Beaches mean stupid evil seagulls who try to take my paper, pencils and Doritos. I hate beaches. Hate them all.

Which, after careful consideration, isn't the best attitude for someone who lives in a former fishing village on the coast of Massachusetts. However, I won't change my attitude due to geographic difficulties. No, I will persevere with my persnickety all through today. Not one smile will you get from MY mouth.

Nothing updated. No plans. I want to be lazy some more, but my freakin' retarded mom is dragging me off to the ocean now. Well, not now. But I have to pack SOME anti-bordum deviced with which to fill my time. Or I'll die and there shall be no more quizzes, stories, pictures, or instant messages. So, for any readers, this may actually be a GOOD thing, considering I can't fuck around on the interweb and ignore your screams of distress any more. You may actually get an update (MAAAAAYBE).

God. Today's gonna suck. T_T Pity me, you fools.

Stories and Chibis

I've been drawing/finishing them durn binder covers. I hate it XP ::pouts:: But I know I'll be happy when I go back to school and have all sorts of prettyness to look as so I'm not bored to death.

My binder covers feature a different 'homework fairy' for each subject; Geometry is a little blue girl, Earth Science is a crazy green labboy (LIKE GREGGLES!!... o_o), History is a redhead holding the world, and English is a yellow-and-brown kidlet reading a book. They're all so cuuuuute! I dunno where I got the idea for a 'homework fairy,' though.

I was up till one-thirty last night sketching, inking, and coloring these OTHER cute little chibi cartoons for my agenda-cover. See, mom made me buy this plain, ugly agenda. So I decided that, like my binders, it could and would be covered in pretty little chibis. Yay for anime!

I wanna talk about the purty chibis. They're cute. I'll link to them on Friday, when I go to my dad's house and can post them ^_^

I have a red chibi-girl who's from one of the many messed-up binder sheets; she has red hair and red pants, and she's holding the world (she was to be on the History binder; for some reason, I associate red with history). Then I have this cuuuuuute little orangey boy in an orange and black kimono; he has his hands out like he wants the wind to blow the fabric around (I <3 him the most). Next there's the largest one, a silver-haired woman with a flower in her hands and giant yellow-and-black butterfly wings on her back (she's Orangey's mom... yes, every picture has a story -_-'). Fourthly, there's a girl with short green hair in a limey kimono letting a butterfly go free (she's Orangey's sister and Lellow's daughter). If you haven't guessed, we're going in the order of the rainbow (NOT intentional), so next is blue: a young man in ragged jeans trying to catch a floating feather (his name's 'Kariah and he was an angel). There's a purple-haired youkai girl (friend of 'Kariah's and rival of Lellow's) who was supposed to be the Procrastination fairy, but ended up being dubbed Umeko and turned into a demon. For brown, there's a chibi done in shades of yellow and browns (well, DUH) reading a book (she was supposed to be on the English binder). Second-last there's a girl done in skin shades and greyscale in a school uniform. Lastly, a little white neko-girl, stretching her arms. For whatever reason, I also drew a little Satoshi-chibi... I don't think it looks much like him, but it's cute so I'm keeping it (as opposed to burning it).

I didn't mean to, but I somehow ended up telling a story with all the pictures (except the two that were supposed to be on the binder covers, but I guess I'll just work them in later). I also didn't intentionally draw every color in the rainbow--- really! I drew them out of order, too: black, red, brown, yellow, green, blue, Satoshi, purple, orange, white. By the neko-girl, I had realized it, but I have to fill the space between Umeko and 'Kariah, so I drew her up too ><;

Basically, Izenami (yellow butterfly lady) is a shinigami (little reaper; she collects souls). She has butterfly wings because butterflies represent the soul (in Greek, 'psyche' means both soul and buttefly). She falls in love with a mortal man, blah, blah, blah, and has two children; Kita (green), who's a half-shinigami (she can collect only lost or hurt souls) but wingless, and Hino (orangey) who they think has 'hidden wings,' but honestly don't know (Hino's five years younger than Kita). Hino can also call butterflies to him, although what good it does we'll never know. Anyway, Izenami's husband is killed [some mysterious and undetermined way] and she has to lead his soul back to Heaven (he was condemned to hell for loving a shinigami), even though she swore she'd never take another soul again. Anyway, with their mother gone, Kita and Hino are lost and alone, but Kita's determined to find and free as many lost souls as she can.

There's a broken angel named 'Kariah (bluesy; his name's short for "Zakariah") who lives in an alleyway and likes to watch the sky. He doesn't remember why he was flushed from Heaven, and doesn't really care. One day, he catches an angel's feather and starts to remember who his is/was and starts to care about living again. On his journey of recovery, he stops in a place called, 'the Loft': a waystation for paranormal people/creatures as they move through life. There he meets Umber, a fire youkai (red chibi; 'youkai' means 'demon') and Libra, a book sprite (brown), and Umeko (purple), a tree youkai who's tree has been culled, but is somehow still living (she's actually a dryad, but whatever). He and she set out to discover what makes them different and sets them apart, and meet up with Hino and Kita as they go.

Lotsa stuff happens, blah blah blah, involving the white and black chibis, blah blah blah, and eventually the find out that Kariah was thrown from Heaven for letting Izenami go without consequence to the mortal world, Umeko didn't die because she wasn't really a dryad, just a fey trapped in a tree for a millenia or three, Kita gets wings for freeing so many lost souls to Heaven, and Hino is the Prince of the Shinigami out of legend; the half-mortal boy who calls the butterflies with orange wings (ahaha... if you didn't understand, Hino's orange and black... a MONARCH ---as in, ROYAL--- butterfly... aha, I crack myself up...) and Kita free Izenami and her father from their prison in a shard of glass (they were lost souls... so only she could free them...)

Yeah... okay... it wasn't that short. I know. I like it though. I used all the characters (except Satoshi) and made Orangey number one. I love Orangey...er...Hino. He's so damn cute! < 3333

Back to slaving away over pencil and paper for the damned binder covers... I will finish! NYAH!

(Oh, and if you couldn't guess, I was too wrapped up in drawing my chibis to care about 'Tuesday' of TWR. ><;;;)

I'm being lazy. I know it. In fact, yesterday I got distracted from my writing by designing binder sheets to prettify my shamefully cheap new note-containers. I know. I'm bad. I'm also sorry.

It doesn't help my motivation that the last time we went grocery shopping was about a month ago and now we have no food and we've been living off tunafish sandwiches and ramen and and and and and---

Sorry. Caffeine kicked in. ^_^'

I'm 'longing' for food today... yeah... we really don't have anything. I haven't had a decent meal in two days (decent meaning 'hot' and 'cooked' as opposed to 'tuna' and 'PB&J'). So. I'm a little undermotivated.

On the bright side, 'Tuesday' of 'The Winter Rose' is due out tomorrow... I finished most of it yesterday but lost steam toward the end of the chapter and procrastinated some more. As a side note, to any of my readers (if, God willing, you've found me), I'll be a sophmore in high school on August 30, so production will slow down terribly after then. Mostly because I'm convinced I'm going to get the Satanic English teacher who will suck the blood from my veins and then grind my bones for bread.

So today = no progress whatsoever. Unless I finish the second chapter of 'Winter Rose', which I doubt. Don't even ask about Kyoya... I'm so lazy, I don't even want to think about all the not-writing/thinking I'm doing on that one. ><;

It doesn't help AT ALL that I now have ideas for three short stories, another quiz, and a monsterously long novella... and I want to write them all.... gah.... need.... motivation..........

New Journal

I finally made one. A LiveJournal, that is. It's cool, I guess. I kinda wanted to make one before school started so I can be all cool and conform-ish. ::shrug::

Right now I'm finishing the second Satoshi quiz and begining the long process that is the Kyoya quiz. Gah. I need to map that thing out or it'll never get done.

It's rainy and yucky out today; not much to do BESIDES write, if you get the drift. I hope I'll be able to buckle down and write, write, write. >3 ::intense concentration::

Not much to say... ;_;
